Developing Excel, Word, Outlook and Access Training, and Customized solutions for Businesses and Individuals
Not surprisingly, the “office” programs you now own, will accomplish many of the things you thought you needed “custom” software for. Microsoft Office, in it’s many configurations, contains at least four powerful data management programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). You can be surprised at what these programs can do. Studies have found that only about 5%-10% of these programs are being utilized on the average users PC. I see this as wasted productivity and lack of “Return on Investment” (ROI) for the money you or your employer spent on these productivity devices. To operate your business, hobby, or personal life more effectively or simply be a more valuable employee, an exploration of your real capability with a PC can only happen by investing in knowing more. There are thousands of manuals, on-line courses, magazines and other media to help you with the learning process but most of us have limited time to wade through the data. Just beginning can be a real chore. What’s the difference between a table in Word and one in Excel which is nothing but a table? Why don’t I just create all my documents in PowerPoint? If I need a presentation I’ll be ready. Why would I want to put Contacts in Outlook when I already know how to do it in Word? Don’t I need Quicken to handle my accounting? Where is the best place to manage my lists? How can I share information with others? I’ve heard that Access is the software I need to manage my phone lists. Where is it? All my experience is in Word Perfect but almost everyone now has Word. Excel looks too complicated for anything I need to do. Each of these programs is sold as “easy to use”. That’s true for about the first 20%. The real difficulty begins when you try to figure out how the process you visualized can be accomplished by the tools in front of you. Most people do not want to know all about Excel. They just want to know how to accomplish a known task with Excel. Most people do not want to know all about Word. They have visualized a task and want to accomplish it with Word. At pc.ROI, hands-on individualized training and help with your immediate tasks, to give you the best return on your PC equipment dollar, is our goal.
